Ahmed Mushfiq Mobarak

Ahmed Mushfiq Mobarak is a Professor of Economics and Management at Yale University and the founder of the Yale Research Initiative on Innovation and Scale (Y-RISE). He conducts field experiments in Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, and Nepal to investigate the adoption of welfare-enhancing innovations and behaviors, and the scaling of effective development interventions. His research has been covered by the New York Times, The Economist, NPR, BBC, NBC, The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Science, Nature, and other major global media outlets, and published in journals across disciplines, including Science, Nature, Econometrica, American Economic Review, BMJ, PNAS, Nature: Medicine, American Political Science Review, Marketing Science, and Demography. He received a Carnegie Fellowship in 2017 and was named to Vox’s inaugural list of “50 scientists working to build a better future”.
