Mr. Asif Iqbal, a Bangladeshi Muslim, is enthusiastic in contributing to build an ecosystem of justice, equality and human dignity towards a sustainable and resilient delta named ‘Bangladesh’ which earned a sovereign flag in 1971 and new version of political independence in 2024.
Mr. Iqbal is a Sustainable Finance and ESG expert in public policy domain of Bangladesh. Over the span of my 16+ year’s career, he has developed an in-depth proficiency of the challenges and prospects inherent in the intersection of Sustainable Finance, ESG Framework, Sustainability Accounting, Inclusive Finance and Risk Management in financial sector. Currently working in a regulatory institution as a banking supervisor, he is passionate about transforming the financial sector of Bangladesh into the globally competitive standard. He has an extensive experience in designing instructional contents on SDGs, sustainable finance and sustainability accounting.
Being a graduate from the University of Dhaka in Development Studies and Finance, Mr. Iqbal is a Fellow from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, USA on Financial Inclusion.
